Allergies are abnormal reactions of the body to a previously encountered allergen introduced by inhalation, ingestion, injection, or skin contact, often manifested by itchy eyes, runny nose, wheezing, skin rash, or diarrhea.
Skin Allergies
Substances that come into contact with the skin, such as latex, are a common causes of allergic reactions to the skin.
Types of skin allergies:
• Hives/Welts or Urticaria
• Edema or Angioedema
• Eczema or Atopic Dermatitis
Symptoms:
• Red raised itchy lesions
• Swelling of the skin
• Dry scaly skin

Pet Allergies
Pet allergy is an allergic reaction to proteins found in an animal's skin cells, saliva and urine. Most often, pet allergies are triggered by exposure to dander (dead flakes of skin) a pet sheds.

• Sneezing

Tree, Weed and Grass Pollen
Generally, pollens that cause allergies are those of anemophilous plants (pollen is dispersed by air currents.) Such plants produce large quantities of lightweight pollen which can be carried for great distances and are easily inhaled, bringing it into contact with the sensitive nasal passages.
